Cambelt, Any Stronger Types?

is there any better quality cambelts out there? the one thats currently on my xs looks a tad feeble.

was a joke, all be it not a good or funny one.

 

but there would be zero point as far as cost vs performace is concerned.

 

kevlar I think is used as it doesn't 'stretch' as much allowing closer tolerances on cam timing for piston to valve clearance. Probably not relevant to low power low revving engines.

 

For the OP at stock belt should be fine, I have never had any issues with a stock belt, the one on my 1.4 GR looked weedy, probably same belt, but it does the job :(

As EdCherry has said, buy a Gates timing belt. The best belts you can buy and in my opinion if changed at the specified interval, will almost never fail.

I think KentCams & Piper both do performance cambelts for the TU. Don't think they ate that expensive

 

No idea what they are like though.
