Gti-6 Thermostat Adapter (bbm One)

Hi all.

 

I brought a BBM thermostat adapter plate for my Gti-6 conversion a while ago and have just come to fit it. when i started putting water into the system i noticed that it was leaking where the old connector connected to the adapter plate. I'm guessing this is because its not sealed but im wondering what gaskets people use to make a good seal?? i looked at the old seal and it looked like it wasent thick enough and would just flap around in the housing.

 

any ideas?

Bit of RTV might solve your problem.
