Which Suspension?

Im going to uprate the suspension on my mint Xrad Van, Now its a daily driver that will do some very little light towing. I want to lower it only 20mm at the front and nothing at the rear. Basically im looking for a good all round tried and tested set up to uprate from standard. Has anyone got any recomendations? I was thinking down the lines of a bilstein shock and spring set up. Ive used Avo coilovers, spax rsx before in my Gtis but i cant justify the expense or ride comfort to put them in my Van.

I wouldn't lower just the front myself, it makes the back very eager to step sideways under heavy braking!

 

I'm not 100% certain of the spec of the van suspension, what I would check first is the size of the torsion bars and the presence of a rear anti roll bar, neglecting the back will make them an understeery beast.

I am pretty sure that the van has the same back axle as the 1.6 GTi,so should'nt really be a prob there.
