Fack! Driveshaft Bugger Up!

Ok guys was removing the 1.6 driverside shaft from the car by myself and was being very carful then .......slip!!!! pop!!!.....half is laying on the floor :wacko: BALLS!!!!!

 

So i've got the 5 pins that fell out of 1 of the bearings....the others are fine and didnt fall out......can i put them back/is it possible? how hard??

Any Advice (apart from get a new shaft .....unless i have too )

There should be far more than 5 rollers- can't remember the exact number, but enough to go all the way around.

yeah there is obviously..but just 5 pins fell out the rest luckily stayed in with the grease

I think I read that there are 33 on each roller making 99 altogether.

 

Its a fiddly job putting them back in, its been done on here with photos but I can't find it, I'll have another look.

Been tryin to find info too...to no avail :-(

Its dead easy, but a pain to do. You just need to stick the needles back into the grease and then carefully slip the ring over them. Then you can pop it back into the rest of the CV and pull the boot back over.
