Gentry Driveshaft

Recommended Posts

spikey_richie

Just had a look under the car and noticed my O/S driveshaft boot on the back of the hub is split. Do I just need a new boot, or a whole driveshaft?

If I need a driveshaft, is there an auto version or can I use the regular 1.9 GTi one?

If it's a CV boot, do I need inner or outer? Is inner gearbox end, or hub end?

If it's just a split boot and the driveshaft isn't noisy and the joint doesn't feel rough, then replacing the boot is probably enough. Inner is the gearbox end, outer is the hub end.

If it does need a new driveshaft than I think the Gentry uses 1.6 driveshafts.

I live in the far end of Stockingford.

I've seen a gold Gentry about. There can't be many of them in town, so it's probably yours.
