Steering Rack

Recommended Posts

Paul_13

Hi does any one have the part numbers to rebuild a steering rack. It's a non power steering 205 rack.

Its got sh*t loads of play and im replacing the rack and pinion with quaife items.

Could do with another body for the steering gear aswell, does any one has one?

Thanks

Paul

Dunno about the seal, but I should be able to get you a new bearing for free. Can you get the bearing number off the old one, or failing that get the outside diameter of the pinion and inside diameter of the body the bearing fits into?

Bearing 6206 rings a bell for some reason.......

Is is a spline or square pinion?

Its a 6002z for a spline, if its a square then you may have trouble sourcing a new bearing as swordfish found here.

It's a splined jobby, how much would you want for this?

Cheers
