howdy, I should be fitting a new lsd to my car sometime over the weekend and was just wondering if theres a running in procedure for tran-x plate diffs? also does the oil need to be changed more often than a standard diff?

I was told when i fitted mine to take it steady for the first 200 miles , to allow the plates to bed in , wasn't advised to change the oil though

Tran X advised that you take it easy for 50 of so miles then change the oil. I guess most people skip this stage as its a bit of a faff.

 

I personally did about 70-80 miles then changed it for fresh stuff. Then its ready for proper use. Although once you have fecked about fitting one in Situ for hours, the last thing you want to do is take it easy for 50 miles! :ph34r:
