Better off speaking to Miles (Pug Racing) on here and spending your money on his gear rods, they're much better by the sounds of it. I'll be putting them on my own car :)

I'd buy these ones ^_^Pugracing gear rod shop link

the constella quickshift is a very poor one, they come loose all the time, I know as I have one on my car :)

IIRC Miles can supply a bolt on ball joint so you can make your own quickshift for a few quid and a single drilled hole in the quadrant lever.

Another vote for Miles. I'm using his rods, great quality.

I know I'm biased but we all are at the end of the day, So some Basic fact's of using the different types and by all means add any points

1. All my Rods are Steel and Plated (as in the listings) so are much stronger than any Alloy rods

2. My ball joints use 2 clips, One to secure around the ball and the other is a safty clip to stop it falling off, Having used the Constella ones they only use the external clip so they do rattle slightly.

3. The Quadrant bush I supply really removes the need for a Q/S as with the rods and a non wobbly Quadrant arm means little to no play.

4. All Single piece construction, No welding or Studding used for ultimate strength

5. 12 Months warranty and all parts can be supplied if required

i use this kit on my rally car

supurb kit its seems to be well made i fits really well

also very easy to adjust if needs be.

cheaper than rose jointed kits and also if you have to replace anything as far as gearbox, swivel arm etc you dont have to modify it in any way.

hope this helps

I made my own rosejointed kit for about £18 with some M8 threaded bar I had kicking about. BUT this nisn't a fit and forget option like the others. rod ends need servicing periodically. if it's a track or rally car that's fine but if not it's more hassell than it's worth

I run the Constella ones and they are brilliant. Been on there about a year now, still look like new, no issues at all with them. Fit and forget  (well maybe clean and regrease them once in a blue moon)

i now have my new rods and fitted thanks Miles

but now i after a quick shift has anyone tried this http://shop.ebay.co.uk/items/__quickshift_...286Q2ec0Q2em282

Link FAIL  which one were you referring to?

are the quadrant (L shaped linkage) and gearstick bushes in good condition?

you can make a quickshift in about 10 minutes with a drill and a new ball fitted closer to the pivot on the linkage quadrant.

Miles sells the ball joints and provideds instructions for something like a quid or two! Move it about 15-20mm and you get a nice change.

Cant tell you on a standard stick as I modifed the entire system all at once. You can make it as short as you want, but you get to a point where it becomes hard to find gears. Id say moving the ball joint 30mm would be your maximum, and would create a nice shorter shift.

i'd say 15/20mm is ok, as Ed say anymore and it's more minus than positive benefit
