And the one I had to sell to clear my 'lack of' finances.... (as soon as the house is finished I'm getting another one, damn I miss it!!)

Those are just a few though, I've had the best part of over 40-50 cars since the age of 10.

Unfortunately not. The Merc, apart from being a bag of s*it, is a company car....

Boo!!

Thats very unfortunate but begs the thought, you have a Merc company car but can't keep the Mk1 Escort!! Surely it can't cost that much to keep?

Unfortunately it didn't look like that when I sold it - was part way through restoration and I just didn't have the time/money to complete it (I'd already spent about £2k on parts but still needed more bits). The pics above is when I first bought it, before discovering the horrors that were so cleverly hidden...

This is what it looked like when I sold it (click the pic for full album):

What sort of lump is going in this Kitten? Such a sleeper can be made out of these OAP lightweight machines.

I'm looking at going down the bike engine route when I finally get around to starting it. Thoughts so far are to mate up a MX5 rear subframe to the Kitten chassis somehow as the track isn't that much wider and has wishbone suspension as standard. Then front mount the engine and get a custom prop made up to drive the Kittens box so I can keep reverse.

Not really gone into a huge amount of thought yet, probably won't even get it started this year to be honest.....

nice car, i think your ride height at the back looks just about spot on and dosent need to go any lower.

I like the 16v badge, how did you modify the trim so it fitted?

Basically like this:

http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff195/n...07/a8aad1a1.jpg

I used the 205 badge as a rough template, stanley knifed around it, then sanded the surface to match the rest of the recessed part (badly). This was my first attempt on a knackered panel (snapped edges) so I wasn't too fussed, it's quite difficult to only take a bit off. The bit between the 2 and 0 is just a water drip.

What i did was to take off the 205 badge then move it further to the left side with it just over the stepped trim bits, then my 16v badge was just over the right side of the trim, no sanding or messing about.

That's Dimmawheels right? Have you done anything to the offset to make them fit on a non-widened 205? Using front wheels on both front and rear?

yea they're Compomotive Dimma split rims, I'm guessing they're two sets of fronts, no mods required to fit a standard body.
