I could offer these for sale on goodhand.co.uk/pts-decals, but the only problem is they're a bit of a pain to fit, as they need a bit of cutting when applied to the car. Saying that, mine were perhaps more complex as I have the Rallye arches to deal with.

 

I'll draw up a fitting guide before I list them, but imagine £60 for the set should be about right.

I would imagine on a gti they'd be a doddle to fit, pop the grey arch off, stick decal on, refit arch

You could surely cut them a little longer and tuck them under the edges of the arch, if like me you don't trust the arch to go back on afterwards

 

Wonder what they would look like on a graphite grey car... I'm tempted

sorry yes i think you have to be a drivers member 1st for pic's and project threads, just post 30 posts

and you will be a drivers member instead of a passenger's member ok mate?

 

EDIT:-

 

You can use photo-bucket and paste it on, also if you say use your photo's of your computer

that the camera has saved on the computer (windows picture, i think), just use the paint section then re size it to 15%

and then save it on computer as jpg or JEPG, you then press browse and you should find it on windows tab, then you load it on

ready for another picture.

Fitting them to a GTI with the trim would perhaps be easier, as you can apply the light blue in smaller segments.

I love looking though these topics and seeing so many different looking 205's. Mine is still mid restoration and I just can't get time to get it rebuilt. Hoping to do it soon cos I miss the old thing and want reminded of how much fun it was!

 

Had this since 1993 and couldn't bear to ever sell it so its sitting stripped out and the shell has been attacked and welded up and waiting for me to get it all put back together and painted.

No they are Gutmann or so I was told. Were on the car when I bought it along with gutmann wheels. I've never actually seen the kit on any other car or any gutmann pics I could find. If anyone does know for sure please let me know as part of the restoration is going to be fixing the skirts as 208k miles have taken their toll on it!

 

I've toyed with putting it all back to factory but always ended up deciding it looked subtle enough and is obviously a kit from the era the car was made which I prefer to the kits trying to modernise the shape.
