They are goodwood style wheels yes not black centre.

Pretty sure the lad's name was Alistair, from Edinburgh way.

 

There's Col's Laser Green GTi6, Pd2's 106 GTi, Neil's 206 GTi180 and the Miami Blue 205. It was back in the days just after we all got thrown out of the PGAC mind you

how come you think it looks so bad i admit its not what i want to stick with but as it was free...., i really liike the three strip de-badged grille but i thought it actually looked okay maybe its my youth showing through

I actually think the original grille looks more aggressive, but if you're going for something modified then like you say it would have to be the debadged original.

my old 1.6 was a real flyer,bit of a dodgy body kit and faded paint but i loved it.
