... the problems continue with the flat spot gti!! over the weekend i put a new CTS in and checked wiring for coil etc, basically when i put the car back together it would take ages to start, loads of fuel pressure, i.e plugs out/ wet, had a spark, let it all evapoate then tried to re-start, got her running but with the co meter connected i cant get the co lower than 7%!! wow!! question is, have i got a stuck open injector, or could i have a weak spark, or is a spark... a spark!! i.e stronger spark, burns more fuel!! help again please!!, would like a idea in my heed before i fly off to the states to get married, be one less thing to think about lol cheers

Has this problem started since you replaced the temp sensor? When you said you pulled the plugs out and they were wet,was it just the one? If it was one it could be an injector problem,if its all four then its a fuelling problem, check your temp sensor is exectly the same as your old one,i got sold a temp sender for my 205 and it was a little bit different,i thought maybe because its from a factors and is just a bit different in desgn,i stuck it in and i had similar symptoms,it would take ages to start and when it did it stank and ran like crap, stuck the old sensor and it was fine, when i questioned them they said it was for a 405,god only knows what 405. As you have already tried the main things for the fuelling are ecu temp sensor and AFM.

temp sensor was a patten part one, did seem to happen after i fitted it, all 4 plugs were wet, when i pulled plugs out and spun car over the fuel was shooting out of the cylinders!! i dont remember this to happen on previous cars???

I would have thought they have given you the wrong sensor, try speaking to a main dealer,i know its usually more expensive but its usually right first time. And sometimes its cheaper than motor factors. Hope you get it sorted, dont think its anything serious.

If the cylinders are flooded you will get fuel spray out, thats prob why you never seen it before.

Let us know how you get on

Cheers
