Temp Gauges

Hi guys,

 

I am needing a Oil temp gauge and if possible a oil pressure gauge for my hill climb xs. Has anyone fitted one before and can recommend any? I am worried about over heating and all the car comes standard with is a red light comes on with no warning of temp rising.

I've got an oil temp+oil pressure guage in mine. It's a Carebont mechanical gauge and it's bloody brilliant, reacts to changes instantly unlike those shoddy electrical gauges. Easy to plumb in as well, i tapped a 3/8 BSP thread in the sump plug hole and am using the temp bulb as a sump plug now. You will need a T-piece to use as a take off for the oil pressure though.

ah good thinking, Is that the only place in the engine you can take the readings from though. i noticed a blanking plug just above the oil filter was wondering if could use that?
