Where And How Much To Cut Gti6 Manifold

Recommended Posts

I am going to be fitting my gti6 engine soon enough into my minty bay, now i want to steer clear of removing and refitting the engine countless times as to lesser the risk of mashing up the bay. I am going to run standard mounts and cut the manfiold and reweld to clear the bulk head, now my question is , is there any body who could tell me or show me where to cut and roughly how much. I know there are topics on here with regards to this and i have looked through most however i havnt found one as of yet that has a image to display exactly where and how much to angle the manifold. All help appreciated.

cheers man, ive had more of a serach around and found a post with regards to it, and it appears to basically say, fit it , take it out , modify refit etc etc.. All i really wanted was a starting point as im sure every car is different.

On the ones we've done in the past we only normally cut them the width of a cutting disc,I think from memory you only need to drop the manifold by 3 to 5 mm or so
