Recommended Posts

kb_205

just purchased an Mi16 from baz and have begun stripping it,

first job after cleaning and degreasing the whole engine is rocker cover refurb!

ive stripped the old paint as it was bubbling and its now all prepped but what type should i use

i want it red but as its a 'magnesium alloy' does it react with any paints and does it need a primer ????

any help appreciated

cheers

I painted the lot and it's all one colour at the minute, if can be bothered I might get a small brush out and paint those bits in a contrasting colour as they were in standard trim.

i did mine recently. i got some fine sandpaper and polished the lines and the 16v before painting it. once painted, i re-polished those bits (which was quite easy as the primer didn't stick that well) looks good in my opinion. painted with halfrauds paint. i'll try and put a pic up
