When does a 306 S16 rev limiter kick in?

I have a standard S16 on omex management & 45mm Jenvey throttle bodies in my 205, what should I set my rev limiter too?

7.4k IIRC. Where does power on your engine tail off?

I'd set it at 8k to be safe, I used to run mine to 8500rpm until a big end bolt snapped, But it did a full seasons racing

My 306 s16 road rally car goes to 7750 all day long, my mi16 syage car goes to 8200 but thats got a L&B bottom end, rod bolts, mech followers and uprated valve springs.

wow did'nt relise they revved so much, cool. The Omex ECU rev limit is set to 7200 but someone has fitted a aftermarket omex rev limiter & its set to 6850. I'll reset them & see how it goes.

Just to recap standard S16 internals & valve springs should be ok to at least say 7800 to be on safe side, this is a rally car so will constantly be in the red line so need it to be reliable.

Its on 150mm trumpets & a 2" exhaust.

I'd remove the other limiter as there's no reason to have 2
