Pics Of Sytec Dcoe Linkage

Recommended Posts

edbar

Just bought a sytec twin cable linkage for my 45 dcoe's and im having a right mare trying to fit it as the instructions arent clear and the photo isnt either. Also seems to foul the fuel t piece during operation. Just hoping someone has a photo to save me swearing at it anymore.

Thanks for any info, Edd.

No not like that, had that one on a previous car and was easy. The new one sits much lower and the cables pull towards the bulkhead now not across the carbs.

And after.

Removed that material to try and avoid contact with the fuel "T" piece but hasnt worked as it is still very close and the washers now foul it.

So i want to cut the corner off the steel plate to allow more movement of the "T" piece.

Also the linkage fouls the cast threaded bracket on the side of the carb at over half throttle. So i want to cut that bracket off.

Any ideas what to do with the return spring? Just flopping about at the mo.

I have to say, speaking from experience, the only decent linkage for DCOE's is the official Weber one. I tried several versions and it's worth the extra few quid for sure.

Would definately agree with you about that. Just got it working but had to cut and file loads of bits, will see how it is during operation when the engine goes in.
