Anyone rebuilt their GTi-6 engine recently?

 

Looking for a rough ballpark figure for new shells, water pump, timing belt etc but not new rods or pistons.

shells circs £70 for big end and £30 for mains

belt kit circa £80

hone and rings circa £100

 

£300 roughly. if you need to have head skimmed, valves done etc then your looking at £500 ish.
