Idleing Problems

Hi. My 1991 1.9 gti idles around 2k if you drop it any lower with the idle control screw it just bounces between 1 and 2k. if i take the pipe of the top of the SAD it runs fine when warm just donst do cold starts obvisly. i have checked the SAD that is fine i have checked all the pipes running from it they are fine i have check the electircal connection that is ok. i changed the afm and gave it a full service. nothing seems to be working. any ideas anyone? cheers.

When you changed the afm did you get the fuel setup afterwards? as this may be your problem if you didnt. I take it you cleaned out all the pipes etc when you gave it a service? Worth checking your ignition timing also.

Have you checked for any air leaks in the SAD pipe work, any of the other breather/inlet pipe work after the AFM?
