Tapered Wheel Bolts

ive looked through the definitive steel wheel thread and there is a mention of needing tapered wheel bolts for the 15" steels

 

ive just got the ones from spoox and was wondering if there is a specific length and size needed to fit them to a 1.9 GTi??

I purchased the 'C5 Wheel Fitting kit' from Citroen, which consists of the wheel bolts, conical washers and a wheel brace. Think it was only £25.

 

Citroen part number: 5406.08

Can't you just use non GTI wheel bolts?

 

I have some of these at home and also some that came with my PTS wheels. I will see if there is any difference

Is this for the tapered C5 "steel" wheels? (made of alloy)

 

As I've just bought four C5 steelies with the tapered holes, and some say normal Citroen bolts won't be good, and I would need the O.E.M. C5 bolts.

Has anybody bought the C5 Wheel fitting kit recently, Citroen can't find it on their system as part no 5406.08, tapered wheel bolts are there but not the kit.

 

Is it still available? Or part number changed?

Is their an online citroen parts database/pdf lookup anywhere

According to citroen's version of service box that part number doesn't exist, but the conical bolts are 5405.72 (12x125 presumably mm) £3.04 each

Thanks, thats what the dealer was saying. The kit was half of the price of 16 bolts, pity
