not sure if that grey is high build, but due to using the grinder i imagine the metal has a fair few ridges etc, give the full bay a heavy coat of high build primer and flat it down to 800 wet n dry , will leave it looking real smooth and ready for paint.

Spiky also did my loom  just gota fit it yet

Looking good. I bet your ears are ringing from using an angle grinder without ear defenders.

Yeah they were, silly really should have got some defenders

Was using the angle grinder with a wire brush atachment so its smooth enough, will have a look tonight to see how its turned out. Not to bothered really about the quallity of the finish as she's only a track car and its going to be matt black not to produce any glare.

Spiky's a diamond, glad he lives pretty close as he has a bit of work to do on my car :)

Any particular reason you did the solid brake pipe like that, rather than using the proper bracket for it, which would also have secured the handbrake cable? I don't think that'll pass an MOT as it stands...

havent got the brackets, checked everywhere and dont remember them on the old beam, handbrake cable is fine, its cable tied into the routing clips on the tank. Will check with my mot chap, if its a problem it will be changed

it'll rub on the tyre without the bracket on the trailing arm, if you can;t find them you can use a bracket of a 306 or xsara, doesn't even have to be discs.
