What Colour Wire Goes On The Oil Pressure Switch?

Hi guys,

As above, my oil pressure on the dash isn't working.

Having my pal round and fitting a known good engine in, the oil pressure isn't working at all and may be the wires are the wrong way round.

So can any one tell me what colour wire should be connected to the oil pressure switch?

One thing i do know is the switch was working before because its off my old engine and the engine fitted is a very healthy one.

In fact bought off the forum.

If i could have feedback please.

Brown wire to oil pressure GAUGE sensor.

 

Orange to oil pressure warning LIGHT switch.

 

Could also be a bad connection on the wank brown plug!

As you look at the front of the engine there are two switchs, the brown wire is going to the one on the right???

Yes as you look at the engine from the front the Pressure Guage is on the right (the bigger sensor) and the Pressure Light is on the left.

 

Make sure it is definately brown as when dirty the brown and orange look the same.
