Diesel Running Issues

hello

 

i have a 1.8 turbo diesel (91) which has developed a running issue the car is running and drives but it strugles for fuel i did have problems starting it last week but a quick change of the glow plugs and is fine now after 1 day thia as i say the tank is full and system should be clean when engine is running the car jerks as it gets fuel and then the supply dies down then comes back pump looks good all wiring connections are good

 

anyone any ideas would rely help?

I'll take a stab in the dark that you have an Air Leak somewhere, check for tired (cracked) looking overflow pipes. I'd also check the pipes in/out of the fuel filter and where the rubber pipe connects to the solid pipe on the bulkhead.

 

If you gently squeeze the pipes and you can see smalll cracks in the surface then its time to change them.

 

That'd be my first port of call....
