Bulkhead Bashing

Recommended Posts

Guest pugboyracer

I'm hopefully starting my mi16 conversion next weekend, and having seen the prices of bespoke manifolds, and not wanting to tilt the engine, we've decided just to batter the bulhead. Basically, all I'd like to know is

a) where to bash

:D how much to bash

c) what to worry about

Muchas gracias.

Just fold back the small lip, on the bulkhead where the exhaust passes, and change the angle of the manifold. They are many topics and posts on how to change the angle

Go to the main site and read the artucle by Doof and Tris.

This explains as much as you need to know.

I bashed the bulkhead on my old one, you dont actually need to do it much at all, also you cant see anything down the back once the engine is in anyway. Just take the heat shield off and bash under there a bit!

Do you put the heat shield back on after?
