Mi16/s16 Engine Loom

Hi there! here`s the question...

 

Im running an 1.9 Mi 16 (alloy) from a 405, i`ve modified the original 205 loom to fit the 405 mi16, so is without dizzy adaptator!

 

now, is it straight on if I want to fit an S16?

 

last thing, if i want to put a GTI6..?

 

Basically i want to do that because I cant find another Mi16 in good conditions...

You can run an S16 on 1.9 Mi managment, loom etc, but using all the 1.9 Mi bits, inlet manifold with TB, throttle pos. sensor, ICV etc.

if you go for a gti6 you really are far better off going to the effort of fitting the loom and ecu correctly

I was talking about the difficulties on the gearbox... not the wiring

No you cannot do the same on the 6 engine, I did the conversion about 10 years ago now and have doen a few since and all run better than the S16 loom as well
