Fuel Injectors

As above really. I brought some recon'd injectors, swapped them over and now it seems to 'chug' as opposed to idle. It idled fine before i swapped them.

The injectors were the correct ones for the car, same code and colour etc.

Any ideas? The only thing i can think of is if the injectors are dodgy or when i fitted them one of the rubber o-rings got caught at a funny angle and is blocking fuel flow?

For reference its a 1990(G) 1.6 gti.

Have you had the Co/fueling checked??????? ^_^

In my experience after fitting recon/ultrasonic cleaned injectors you need to weaken the fuel alot ;)

Yours is prob 'chugging' cause its over fueling :D

Co went from 1.8% to 8.3% on a Sri130 Cav I had years ago after injector recon :o

Garage job if you haven't got the equipment :D

Needs to go on machine they use for checking emissions for MOT,get it set to around 1.5%.

You adjust it with the allen screw on the AFM,screw out to weaken it,in to richen it (I think  ) ;)
