Oil Capacity

Sorry for the dumb question, I've done some searching for "capacity" "litres" etc but as you can't actually search for the word "oil" as it's too short I haven't had any luck.

 

What is the oil capacity of a GTI6 engine with a 13 row oil cooler installed? I've got a service kit here from Opie oils that contains 6l but I've spotted a couple of posts that suggest along the lines of 6.8l

 

I just want to know whether to pick up an extra couple of litres for a complete oil change and some to top up with on a trackday if needed?

well I have a mi16 Engine with a Gti6 sump. Seeing as all the oil sits in the sump when it's at rest then we might not be far away. Mine uses the 8v spacer/stiffener too, with Mocal cooler (13 row) which is mounted in front of the box so I guess maybe 1.2 to 1.4 mtrs of pipe.

Mine is 6.8ltrs as near as damn it to the top of the stick

The audotdata CD for a std Gti6 motor says 4.25ltrs, which surprised me a bit!
