Hi Everyone,

I have 205 gti 1.9 1989 engine and have some troubles with my oil pump(need replacement).I want to know how much is new oil pump.

In Macedonia is about 300 Euros.

I think that`s too much. :(

Thanks in advance,

Viktor

Well my oil pressure is low and only the pump can be wrong.

no, it could be very worn bearings which is far more likely.

I`m doing rebuilt on my engine.

I have everything new,and i was thinking to buy new oil pump.

The reason for rebuilding the engine was bearings on the crankshaft,so I was thinking that the bearings problem to broke is the oil pump, not enough pressure.

My oil was always on 120 C sometimes to 140 C.

you can check the oil pump tolerances to confirm whether it needs replacing or not, low oil pressure is usually due to oil surge or low oil level, and bearing wear.

have you checked the crank for wear?

I`ve checked everything and I don`t found anything wrong,my engine don`t lose any oil and is clean when I change it,so I really don`t know what else can be the problem,I make some calls and ask about the price for the oil pump and  300 Euros.I don`t know what to do.I still don`t checked the oil pump but I`m pretty sure that is wrong.

How can I check is it OK or NOT?
