Xu10j4rs Cam Recommendation

Hi just wondered what cams people with modified XU10J4RS engines run? I have custom forged pistons with 11.5+:1, steel custom rods, steel flywheel and 45mm jenveys on luminition management with a std head as they are meant to be good already, apparently. The car is used for stage rallying so drivability (or lack of it) isnt an issue. Also just wondered what end power would roughly be?

Any help much appreciated.

from what I've seen of these engines anything further than mild cams need quite a bit of work to get them to fit in the heads (oil spraybar raising/removal, solid tappet conversion, clearance for the extra lift etc)

 

how far do you want to take it? as your engine is basically a blank canvas what with it already having ITB's and mappable management.

With the hydraulic Newman PH4s, you should see around 220bhp on that spec. You will need to remove the spray rails and block the feed off though as Merion says. Solid tappets add about £600-700 to the overall cost, but increase the potential significantly and are often more reliable. The exhaust manifold will be the limiting issue then I expect.
