Recommended Posts

buster205

hi all

just changed my ht leads to a bosch set, the dizzy cap to coil lead that i removed had a plastic sleeve (heat protecter ?) on it, however the new set doesn't have one. is this necessary or will it be ok without one ?

cheers

It'll be fine wthout one.

Sounds to me like they were possibly the original leads if it still has the plastic sleeve on. B)

the markings on the leads say bougicord 403 class c, if that means anything, wouldn't be surprised if they have been on for years. the fuel filter i've just changed was date marked 1992 !

cheers

Bougicord are the oe leads, could've been on since new but you can get the Bougicord sets from GSF.

Or at least used to be able to get them from GSF, last time I asked they said it'd be a Bosch set they supplied iirc. :)

Previous sets of Bosch leads I've had, one of the plug ends has always pulled off the lead when you next go to check the plugs.
