everything else on the dash is working fine just the rev counter isn't doh

Wire from the coil terminal is disconnected, broken or possibly you've blown the fuse on your car because it doesn't show anything else in the dash as not working unlike on the later models. (does your reversing light work? Its one the same fuse)
