Gti6 Exhaust Manifold

just sorting my new 205 project for summer

 

got a gti6 motor with genuine 27000 miles

 

not done a gti6 in a 205 with the original ex man

 

does it fit ok? or need modifying

Some find the manifold clears by just lowering/re-angling the engine, others find they have to re-angling the manifold, by cutting a shallow 'V' with a grinder/hacksaw and then re-welding the manifold up.

 

Have a nose through the Works/Projects section and all will be revealed.

Only way is to try and see, Mine fitted with 10mm extra on the bottom mount fork, just to tilt it back slightly

Doesnt tilting the engine encourage shaft failure? I would have thought lowering bu 10mm would be the best option.
