Steel Head Gaskets

Recommended Posts

Rob Turbo

Now I've ditched the v6 project I'm back to the turbo engine, which needs a head gasket, and I'm planning on starting where I left off - 18psi! I've gathered a standard gasket isn't up to the job, so I want a MLS gasket, but where do I get one from for an XU10? And how much am I looking at paying for one?

Thanks,

Rob

The std GTi6 gasket is a MLS and they seem to hold upto the Superchaged conversions well

Been talking to M@tt and he might be able to get me one cheap, I'll find out next week if it's deffo the right one.

If not, I'll look into a GTi6 gasket, isn't a dt 1905? So smaller bores?

Thanks,

Rob

i did a search on wikapedia a while back and got the info on bore sizes and stroke but cannot remember exactly

My brother makes Gaskets to design for Aston Martin/Ferrari, top end stuff.

He can make one to your requirements in a number of materials...I can't get hold of him at the minute but I am seeing him later today, I'll show him this thread.
