Block Off The Fuel Return.

hi, im just in the process of running my fuel lines through the car. is the fuel return a must have?? im running a mi16 on carbs.

If you've got carbs then it depends on the how you've plumbed things in, and the pump you're using.

You don't really need a return running carbs no, particularly if running at the correct pressure and using a decent pump, facet etc.

Bike pumps are ideal for this kind of application. They will cut the flow progressively as they approach the needed pressure and even stop, so a return is not needed. Got an R6 pump myself for 25 pounds off ebay.

The r1 will be an injector pump won't it as the bikes with carbs were gravity fed.

Have you had any trouble running the facet pump as i have been told only 1 or 2 psi is needed to run the carbs.

As long as the carbs are in good condition you shouldn't have any problems. I have run a Red Top on my webers for umpteen years without a regulator and without any problems with fuel pressure.
