Driveshafts Cause Gearstick To Wobble

Recommended Posts

Been driving my 205 for the past couple of days but i've found that the gear stick is wobbling side to side under acceleration.

I have uprated secure gear rods and i'm pretty sure all brackets and mounts are all tight and secure and so doing a serach threw up that it's probbaly the driveshafts. but i'm just interested in why this might be so as my CV's don't click or anything so i'm wondering how they can be causing a wobble.

Obviously if it is them i would imagine its going to be an imbalance in them but surely this would also manifest itself in an audible clicking or knocking as well, no?

Anyone care to shed any light?

Inner CV will likely be at fault. It's outer CV's that cause knocking/clicking when cornering in my experience.
