Separate Conrod

probably idiot questions need idiot answers, btw:

I've just bought a set of new Steel H section Rods for my 1.9 mi16 engine rebuild

I've tried to remove the big end bearing cap from the conrod with both hands , but no way

any tips???

A little wiggling and light tapping usually does the trick!

 

(of the bearing caps not you BTW)
