I´m about to put in a TranX diff into my Be gearbox.

In dooing so I have to take off all the bolts bolting the diff together in order to bolt the outer ring on the diff.

What torque setting do I apply to the bolts?

Do anyone have a TranX diff manual?

Thanks

/Martin

Got sent these by TranX themselves.

The inner bolts which hold the end plate on the diff are 25/30 lbft

The ones holding the crown wheel onto the diff are the same as if fitting to a std open diff

Word of warning (having learnt from experience!) overtighten the end cover bolts and you'll snap the head off. I replaced mine with 12.9 grade ones

Super helpful post that!

I'm just about to fit mine too. Sounds like a plan replacing the crownwheel bolts. Does anyone know what size they are? I'm struggling to find anything diff related in the parts calalouge!

I seem to remember reading the crownwheel bolts to use for TranX diff are MTX 75 Bolt's.

I need some for the one I've got when I've rebuilt it.

Graham.

Ah, cool.

Sorry to hijack this thread but it seems silly to start up another one.

What else do I need when doing the conversion other than new diff bearings and a casing seal. Is there anything I'm missing? I just called up Pug and they told me to go down there and help them pick out the right bearings! So... any part numbers would help me out a load, its a BE3
