Can Anyone Tell Me What This Sensor Is?

I have just fitted Mi16 from a BX to my pug 205. I have converted the loom and fitted but I am having running problems.

 

I know of a sensor that I haven't made any connections to which is located at the reare of the block beneath the exhuast manifold.

 

Does anyone know what this sensor is and is it needed?

Oil level iirc, used in BX/405, but no provision for use in 205/309. :lol:

Ah, i thought it might be but thought that was a bit too high.
