Mi16 Idle And Starting Problem

right refitted my gearbox the other day a be4 box connected everything back up and i piched th cps wire withe gerbox it looks like its only split the outer wire so taped it up started the car it ran ok but idleing at bout 3000rpm after about 20 seconds would drop don to normal idle speed but if i reved it would rev and hold at that rev so i turned it off tried it again still doing it and now i reconected two little earth ires i missed and now wont start so i disconnected them and still nothing its cranking but nothings happening it raised up at the front but its still getting fuel any ideas

right ive had a fiddle got it running ok and turned it off started ok a few times then i adjusted the the clutch cable up and it wont started just back fires and sometimes slows down like its pre igniing any ideas i thought maybe dizzy timing but it ran fine and wasnt adjusted
