Oil For 1.6

Hi folks, righto time to do an oil change

got some 10-40 castrol gtx is this gonna be ok to use or would something else be better? also soon its going in to have the cambelt done should i get the water pump done at the same time?

Been recommended 10/40W semi for my 1.6's and it seems ok stuff, brand IMO doesn't matter that much on such an old engine unless it been rebuilt or going to be used for some track work.

im guessing what ive bought is not semi :-( cant see it anywhere on the container that it is

I always use 10w40 semi syn motaquip oil only £10-£15 for 5 litres from most pug dealers depending what discount they offer
