Fitting 4.9 And 5.1 Cwp

Right I have 1 of each of these, i went to fit the 5.1 to my close ratio be1/3 hybrid box, but where the 3rd/4th gear fits is different the new shaft has a spline where the old shaft had half spline half plian beraing surface. The problem I have is I cant use my good 3rd/4th on the 5.1 or the 4.9, and the gears that came with it are all the wrong ratios what does every one else use ? :)

Is the 5.1 out of a be4 box by any chance, these have splines for 3rd/4th gear. The shaft is slightly longer on the be4 also,5th gear has a collar on it.

The shafts are out of a partner van yes probably a be4, the 5th is not any trouble as ive got them its just 3rd 4th I'm stuck with at the mo.

I got a 4.53 out of a partner/berlingo it was a be4.I had to get a be4 box out of a petrol 406 think it was a 02 1.8,and use 3rd and 4th out of it. 3rd and 4th in the 406 box were the same ratio as the 205 ones.
