Going all the way back to the start of the thread,

What was you reasoning behind making the new column, just to get it lower?

How much lower did you get it? Mine needs adjusting a fair bit to get me comfortable and contemplating going down this route.

Not massively, but enough. I also moved it towards me a fair bit.

You see I need to move mine away from me and down a good 3 inchs. Might have to look into it a bit more. Thanks.

May i ask why? ;)

So your legs get stuck under the steering wheel?

I didn't have to move mine that for down and i'm sat quite low, mostly because if I did I would have constantly got my elbows stuck in the seat.

Baz - better choice of pads mostly.

A lot of places are starting to discontinue selling brake shoes. Discs run cooler as well which is good for track cars

Yarp, plus I'll need to run more rear bias with the more powerful front brakes so they'll be running even hotter.

Just got off the phone to Demon Tweeks, ordered a set of Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 in satin black and a set of Yokohama A048's for a brilliant price! :D

Seems to be the only thing they do a good price for, got the wheels for £385 with VAT and delivery, and the tyres were £107 each.

could you weigh a wheel minus tyre for me please.

I assume they are 15" x 7"?

Why did you buy the Team Dynamics? I found that they weigh 6,1 kg. Citroen C5 alloy "steelie" = 4.8kg

I don't like the C5 steelies for a start, and I doubt they have enough clearance for the callipers.

Henry - I can't I'm afraid, they're coming with the tyres fitted. They weigh 6.1kg for the smallest offset according to TD's site, ET15 will be slightly heavier I think.

Did you get 15s? Our 205's are gonna end up looking the same - I have a set of 16's in the garage at home waiting for tyres!

Damn, better take that rattle can back to halfords!

Did you get the intake manifold design by the way? It's just a rough one dimensionally but should be visually quite similar to the final design

'kin hell, bet the rotors set you back a few!

Out of interest, how much were the pads? Similar to 1.9 caliper prices?

They weren't cheap, that's for sure! The pads were £70. :D

Today was a good day, because my wheels arrived! B)

Despite only being 17mm larger in diameter and 10mm larger in width, they look huge!

I also decided to see how it would look with my brakes. :P

Sweeeeeet!! Can't wait for the bells to arrive so I can put them on!

In other news, I've been measuring my fuel lines to see how much I need to order. Excuse the weird colours, I hadn't bothered to change the white balance from taking photos indoors.

I need just under 7m, and a whole buttload of fittings. Looking to be pretty bloody expensive at the moment. :(

Tell me about it! Near enough £400 for a set of bloody fuel lines!! :)

I just can't justify that sort of expenditure at the moment, so will have to go back to the drawing board and think of something else. Hell I might even fit standard fuel lines for a bit until my financial situation becomes a little less studenty.
