Another Idle Question

Would use the search facility but difficult to search for my specific engine\ ignition system.

 

I have an S16 engine in my 205. During the snow it started spluttering, misfire, erratic acceleration etc. I thought this was probably a coil pack or ignition amp issue. Fortunatly these symptoms ceased & the car returned to normal.

 

However, this morning the car is idling at 2k rpm. Like constantly driving heel & toe which is quite annoying. Any ideas?

check for air leaks, most notably to the idle valve, and where the manifold is bolted to the head

 

also check the throttle cable adjustment.

just humor me on this, but try swapping the leads round on the 2 ignition modules
