Cheap Semi-race Setup

Recommended Posts

dynacord

Hi all,

I read the topic about eliminating understeer..

What I understand is that best way is limited slip diff. Other idea is 309 wishbones.

Now, what I'm aiming here is .. let's say mid-priced setup for amateur trackdays. Here's what I've found so far:

Koni (or eibach) springs - around 35mm drop at a reasonable price

Rear shocks - some Boge turbos (for now) .. not so bad

I am not pretty sure how to ask for the front shocks - is it possible to fit 106 rallye/saxo piston rods (fluid  ) in the standart 205 1.9 front shocks? are the 205 shocks sealed or they can be opened? The reason I'm asking this is because the price for 106/saxo's konis is half the price konis for 205..

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Batfink

for a road setup the eibachs will be great. For a track setup they will be way too soft.
