Recommended Posts

ive removed the o/s drive shaft but had to remove the back engine mount as the drive shaft wouldnt come out of the bearing carrier :)

so now with the engine mount removed ive tried hammering out the drive shaft (nylon hammer) but the bearing is coming out with it but it appears to be jammed on a lip on the casing?? sooo how do i get it out ?? can i get a new bearing

The bearing does come out with the shaft and it normally comes out fairly easily. it might be stuck at an angle, try holding the shaft in a vice or holding it down on a solid piece of wood then tap the bearing housing (mount) trying to keep the bearing square on the shaft. the bearings can be bought from Peugeot of any bearing supplier for a few pounds.

I hope that helps.
