Vts 5 Speed G/box Ratios

Can anyone help me find out what the ratios & identification of the 5 sp VTS Xsara box is? It's the one fitted to the a J4RS (124kw) engine.

 

What came up in a search was it's possibly the same as an S16, it has a hybrid 5th gear, has a 4.4:1 FD & is a BE4/5.

 

Is this the better/stronger box sometimes mentioned here, & can you fit a Quaife atb diff to one.

I have one on mine. I dont know what the exact ratios are but its similar to the Mi16 box, and yes they are ment to be stronger but a few people on here disagree.

 

Im happy with mine though, i would recomend it.

As said pretty much the same as the Mi/S16 box, It is weaker internally thou

I was offered it cheap along with a J4RS motor, but I think I might pass it up especially as I already have a spare Mi box.
