:) Well, I think Iv'e tried everything now! I'm not loosing coolant out the Expansion Tank, so I reckon I spotted a lot of "steam" out the back of the car this morning on the way in to work. So, If this is so, Can I continue to use the car for a while till I can arrange repairs? worried that I might do further damage if I carry on and topping up the coolant as neccesary. ;)

Im no expert but i wouldn't use it till its sorted, you could cook the head and cause more damage by no coolant in the engine. Just get the car home slowly or get towed if you can and have a look.

Is the temp goin up? Are you heaters blowing cold even tho its on hot?

Could it be head gasket or air in the coolant system? Try bleeding the system-you got a bleed nipple(not sure of the proper name) near bulk head, just by the brake servo, get the car to normal running temp and unscrew the bleed nipple NOT all the way tho just so some air/water comes out and do it back up.Becareful it will be hot use some rags to undo. Hope this helps,But im no expert someone might have other ideas

Is this carrying on from a previous thread? You say you are not loosing coolant so why do you suspect anything wrong? Is the "steam" not just vapourised condensation from the exhaust (it always looks startling on a cold morning).

Are you regularly having to top up the tank already, or are you saying you will be topping it up as necessary now you think there's a problem?

I would:

Check coolant level.

Run it for half hour keeping eye on temp.

Turn off and let it cool for half hour.

Check coolant level.

If its the same I would run car as normal but keeping a watchful eye on temp and levels for next few days and take it from there.

take it to a garage and ask them to do a leak down test, adding compressed air into the cylinders, by taking out the spark plugs, that will tell you straight away if its a headgasket, it also can say weather your piston rings and valves are ok

 Thanks for all the advices chaps, but I think i've found the problem now? Ahole in one of the heater hose appears to be the problem, Its only showing at normal engine temp AND high revs? Hoping Stewy can help me,but again, thanks,
