Hubcentric Spacers

Recommended Posts

Rob Turbo

I'm after some 20mm hubcentric spacers so I can fit 406 brembos under my cyclones (I think 20mm will do, I'll make sure before I buy some), I'd prefer the type that bolt to the hub, then bolt the wheel to the spacer, so I can keep the standard bolts, but where's the best place to get them?

I've found some on ebay at £52.50 a pair, delivered, with the bolts to bolt the spacer to the hub, is this a reasonable price?

Thanks,

Rob

speak to Rippthrough, he can do custom spacers and I believe he's knocking out a batch next week.

I saw some of his when I did a search, but they are the type that need longer bolts, which I'm not too keen on, plus they would work out more expensive than the ebay ones @ £50 a pair + p&p + longer bolts.

they will be lighter and shinier ;)

as I mentioned, he does custom so drop him a line.

That's the set I've been looking at, what's the quality like? I'm guessing they won't be light, being made from billet steel! If I knew that 20mm is the size I'm after I would have already bought them, but with me needing to check first I thought I'd ask around!

Thanks,

Rob

They are solid, well designed and built, the bolts are good and all holds very tight. They are not the lightest though not heavy.

I've sent Rippthrough a PM but doubt he will be able to do a price to match/beat the ebay ones, but we'll see, I'll probably get the ebay ones now I know they are good quality (providing 20mm is what I need)

Thanks,

Rob

How fast do you need them?

I'll have a used set of those exact same 20mm ones coming off a car next month to be replaced by some of my shiny billet ally ones to save some weight.

i'd always take the ones that you bolt through, rather than ones that bolt onto the hub.

think about it - if the spacer is bolted to the hub and then the wheel bolted onto the spacer,

it will be the spacer taking all the load, both from the wheels and from the engine and i'd

certainly not want to depend on it.

at least that's the way i see it ;).
