Thank you.

yup, IIRC is fully detailed in Haynes workshop manual

Page 95 of the 1993 edition I have here.

Sure there is a link to a downloadable copy on here somewhere but I can't find it on a search.

I have the Haynes manual n. 0932, but I think nothing is written about testing AFM. Only how to set the throttle initial position and throttle switch setting...

Chapter 3

Part 26 "Fuel injection system - complete test"

Has it all there with readings and which terminals to test.

You won't find it in there, you have the Service and Repair manual not the Owners Workshop manual.

Click the links above and then full size pics, tells you what parameters are.

I think that guide must be for a 1.6/1.9 actually. I've found another metronic guide and it says pin 2 and 4... which on mine varies between 550-1100 or so.

"For Motronic: Disconnect the 5-pin connector from the AFM, and measure the resistance between pins 2 and 4. Like the Jetronic type, it should vary with the movement of the flap in AFM. Resistances between 2 & 3, and 3 & 4 should be around 300 Ohms both. Check the resistance between 4 and 5, it should be around 2-3 KOhms at 20 Celsius."

With the two nipples at the top the number is 54321.

2-3 for me is 800 and ping 3-4 is 350, 4-5 is 2k like stated.
