Rear Shock

When fitting rear shocks is a washer needed on the lower bolt? There's the brake line mount, which presses up against the shock and then the nut. Do I need a washer inbetween or something. Trouble is, when I try to tighten the nut, the brake line mount twists round too much...

Just had a look in the Haynes, I can't see a washer on that pic. Can you wedge a screwdriver behind the mount to stop it twisting?

I think I may have answered my own question. Just had a look on service box. From what I can see it appears the washer is needed only for ABS brakes? I guess the brake mounting thingy replaces the washer unless someone can tell me any different?

 

Screw driver or something to wedge it will have to suffice I guess! I was just getting p*ssed off working in the dark, trying to torque the shock bolt nut up and hoped there was an easy answer

yes, there is a washer, or at least has been on every 205-309-306-zx I've worked on
